... in books

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristie’s amazing blog The Story Siren.

This week I finally received my huge Amazon order. Most of the books were for my university lecture on children’s and YA literature but two I bought just for pleasure.

These are the books that moved in with me this week:

C.S. Lewis The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Sophie Kinsella I’ve got your number

Roald Dahl Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Michael Morpurgo Warhorse

Charlie Higson Silverfin

Malorie Blackman Noughts & Crosses

Rebecca Stead When you reach me

Suzanne Harper The Juliet Club

Sherman Alexie The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian

Can you guess which ones I have to read for the lecture?

  1. Hi Karin, all these titles look my kind of reading materials! I have the entire Chronicles of Narnia, and I can't wait for the time when my daughter feels that it's time for her to crack them open. Roald Dahl is of course a favorite - in fact we devoted two months last year in celebration of his works (All Things Dahl and Magical). :) I also have a collection of Michael Morpurgo titles, I am not sure though whether I have this particular one. Have fun with your new reads!

  2. I just finished I've Got Your Number not too long ago. I quite enjoy Kinsella's stand alone novels better than her Shopaholic series. Great book haul! Happy Reading!
