My Life...

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday and this year I was really looking forward to it.

My mum is no Lorelai Gilmore and she doesn't crawl into bed each February 1st at 2:04 a.m. to tell me the story how I was born (thanks, for that mum) but every other year she complains that there was a documentary about orcas on TV when my dad decided that they were going to the hospital. She is convinced that it would have been fine to watch the documentary and from time to time I am the one to blame that she didn't see it. So, I have my Rory Gilmore moment every once in a while and I must say (but don't tell my mum) that it kind of feels like a tradition.
My birthdays are always pretty awesome but the last years they were amazing. My parents and I celebrate in the morning during breakfast and this year two friends are coming to visit for brunch (so no breakfast for me this year but a yummy brunch) and I can always choose the cake I would like to get. This year, as I think the last five years, I will get a carrot cake because my mum makes the best carrot cake ever.
In the evening I will meet all my friends at my favorite bar to celebrate with them and I can't think of a better way to enjoy my birthday than that.

But this year, I would like to celebrate with you guys too. That's why I will host a Birthday Giveaway! It will be open from February 1st until February 14th and the price will be a book of your choice for up to $15.- from Book Depo. This is my little present for one of you guys!

Have a wonderful Friday because I sure will!

  4. Hey Honey!
A very happy birthday to you.
The film about the orcas was very interesting, I'm sure of that. And to go to hospital an hour later would have been ok too as you took your time. But the really annoying thing was that you decided that we should have a cesarian. Which ment that for the next 2 weeks laughing was painful. And you made me laugh and love from the moment you were born. Hugs and kisses!
