First
sentences:
She left
her building at six for the health club up the street.
Summary:
Manager and
head barista of the bustling New York
coffeehouse The Village Blend, Clare Cosi’s been hired to create a gourmet coffee and
dessert bar for a swanky wedding. Clare should be thrilled at this chance to
shine, but it’s Matteo
Allegro, her ex-husband and current business partner, who’s tying the knot to Trend
magazine editor Breanne Summour, who’s in full-blown bridezilla mode. Claire’s
got to put her misgivings aside and focus on business, but since she’s a
successful amateur sleuth, murder is Clare’s business, too. And when fatal
accidents begin befalling people close to Breanne, Clare becomes suspicious.
But what she unveils, amid melted chocolate and steaming mochaccinos, may just
get her burned...

My
opinion:
Espresso
Shot is the 7th book in the Coffeehouse Mysteries telling the story
of Clare Cosy, the manager of the Village Blend, Matt, her ex-husband and
coffee buyer for the Blend, Madame, Matt’s mother and the owner of the Blend,
Joy, Clare and Matt’s daughter, Mike Quinn, detective at the New York Police
Department and a lot of murders that always seem to happen when Clare’s around.
Some might say she attracts chaos.
The books
are full of wonderful characters and really nice stories. Espresso Shot is set
around the wedding of Matt, Clare’s ex-husband and his fiancĂ©e Breanne and we
as readers not only experience the story but also Clare’s feelings towards Matt
and her struggle to let the father of Joy go.
The book
comes with wonderful recipes and coffee making tips and if you like reading
cozy mysteries you should definitely check out the stories of Clare Cosy and
her Village Blend.
Espresso
Shot is available at Amazon in paperback and for your Kindle too. You can also
buy it at Book Depo.
