I was not sure if you would enjoy seeing what I got but after receiving eight books from my parents and friends I decided to share my gifts with you instead of doing a Showcase Sunday yesterday.
My parents totally support my love for reading - always have and always will and I get books from them for Christmas and birthday every year.
This year the overall theme was Mystery:
if you click on the book it will take you to the Goodreads page
I also got the CD from Annett Louisan, a German singer, and a trip to a place in Austria of my choice. I really have amazing parents.
I also have amazing friends. They dared to give me books even though the chance of me having it already is always pretty high but they did super well and I received some amazing books I don't have and who all sound amazing.
Two amazing friends gave me NW by Zadie Smith with the following words: "I heard good things about it and it hs London in it. Perfect, right?"
A friend from uni gave me this beautiful edition of Peter Pan because as an English major your just have to have it.
My best friend put so much thought into which book to get me and he did a wonderful job. He tends to give me books that are out of my comfort zone and that will challenge me a bit. I cannot wait to start this one.
I also got some sweet and book vouchers from friends (book buying spree here I come) and another good friend whom I have known for over 20 years now got me set with a cute mug, hot chocolate, marshmallows and a hot water bottle. Time to snuggle up in bed with it and a good book.
What a pretty Peter Pan edition <3
