Review
The Last Little Blue Envelope
by Maureen Johnson

The author:
Maureen knew from an early age she wanted to be a writer. She went to high school at an all-girls' Catholic school and graduated from University of Delaware with a degree in writing. She now lives and writes in New York City.
Many of the adventures Maureen's characters face in her books are based on real-life stories. Maureen has traveled all over Europe, and is a Secret Sister to vlog brothers Hank and John Green.

First sentences:
It was that time of day again.

Summary:
Ginny Blackstone thought that the biggest adventure of her life was behind her. She spent last summer traveling around Europe, following the tasks her aunt Peg laid out in a series of letters before she died. When someone stole Ginny’s backpack—and the last little blue envelope inside—she resigned herself to never knowing how it was supposed to end.
Months later, a mysterious boy contacts Ginny from London, saying he’s found her bag. Finally, Ginny can finish what she started. But instead of ending her journey, the last letter starts a new adventure—one filled with old friends, new loves, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Ginny finds she must hold on to her wits . . . and her heart.
This time, there are no instructions.

My opinion:
In The Last Little Blue Envelope we meet Ginny again. It is winter and she needs to decide which university she wants to visit next year and has trouble deciding when she is contacted by Oliver, an English boy, who tells her he found Aunt Peg’s letters in a backpack he bought in Greece. So Ginny, once again, jumps on a plane, crosses the Atlantic Ocean and starts a new adventure with old and new friends by her side.
The Last Little Blue Envelope starts some months after we left Ginny in 13 Little Blue Envelopes and I can only say that it is as awesome as I hoped it would be. Ginny starts a new adventure and is quickly surrounded by friends again who help her solve the last mysteries Aunt Peg sent her in the 13th letter last summer.
The book again has wonderful characters, an amazing writing style and all the fun elements that fill Maureen’s books. It is the perfect sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes and I can highly recommend it to anyone who read and liked the first book. Ginny once again travels though some parts of Europe but this time it is winter and she not only has to solve Aunt Peg’s riddles, she also has to decide what to do with her life after high-school ends.

The Last Little Blue Envelope is available at Amazon in paperback and for your Kindle too. You can also buy it at Book Depo.

The prequel to this book is called 13 Little Blue Envelopes (read my review here) and is available at Amazon and Book Depo.
