This week’s question is
Top Ten Favorite Books I Read in 2011
Gail Carriger – Soulless
the beginning of a wonderful series telling the
story of Alexia, a 26 year old soulless spinster living in Victorian London,
dealing with vampires, werewolves and an annoying family
Ali McNamara – Breakfast at Darcy’s
Ali’s second book and as wonderful as her debut
novel. A must read!
Kerstin Gier – Rubyred
maybe the best book I read this year. Amazing
story, amazing characters, just an awesome book!
Kerstin Gier – Saphireblue
Gabrielle Donnelly - The Little Women Letters
tells the story of Lulu (a middle girl in an
all girl family) and her findings of her aunt Joe’s letters. A wonderful book
where you can feel the huge impact Louisa May Alcott’s famous Little Women had
on the author.
Jenny Colgan - Meet me at the Cupcake Café
a wonderful romantic comedy dealing with
opening a café, baking cupcakes and forming friendships.
Maggie Barbieri -
Murder 101
wonderful new crime series. Alison
Bergeron, professor at the St. Thomas College in New York, the body of one of
her students discovered in the trunk of her car, a handsome homicide detective
and an annoying ex-husband who is also a professor at St. Thomas.
Claire LaZebnik - Epic Fail
a modern re-telling of Jane Austen’s Pride and
Prejudice set in a modern US
high school.
Stephanie Perkins - Anna and the French Kiss
Paris, love, friendship, …
Ben Aaronovitch – Rivers of London
