... in books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted be the wonderful blog “The Broke and Bookish” and this week they want to know our:
Top Ten Books You'd Hand To Someone Who Says They Don't Like To Read

Well, I have a lot of friends who do not read at all. Two of my best friends went on holidays last year and when they came back they told me proudly that they both read one whole book during the one week of vacation and I was really proud of them. That’s how little most of my friends read.

So I will try and think of ten wonderful books I would hand them if they would ask me for reading advice.

From Notting Hill with Love…Actually by Ali McNamara
because it is a wonderful book full of film references

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
because what can be not to love by this book

Murder on a Girl’s Night out by Anne George
because Patricia Ann and Mary Alice are the most adorable mystery novel characters I know

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella
because Sophie Kinsella’s books are wonderful and an easy read when everyone around you is being stressed out – okay, let’s face it…I would recommend all of her books

13 Little Blue Envelops by Maureen Johnson
because this book takes you all over Europe when you are sitting on the couch, enjoying a wonderful cup of coffee, tea or cocoa

Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett
because the Discworld series is the best fantasy series ever and Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick are just amazing characters

Maria, ihm schmeckts nicht by Jan Weiler
a wonderful book, unfortunately only available in German, about a German who marries an Italian and his adventures with her family

As you can see, I only found seven book recommendations and they are mostly for girls but I am really interested what you all recommend and maybe there will be some books that I need to get afterwards.
