I hate the
fact that there is nothing going on on my blog right now. I am studying my butt
off at the moment and I needed to prioritize. Unfortunately that meant either choosing
reading or blogging for balancing my study time. As you can see I chose
reading.
I am doing
a daily blog hop and I found some incredible blog posts, videos, etc. I want to
share with you.
Kat from
The Aussie Zombie does a book blog survey as research for a blog post. Please
take it (it only takes 5 minutes max). You can win a book of your choice!
At the beginning of May Vicky from Books, Biscuits and Teawrote a post called Bookish
Ramblings: Is Blogging Becoming a Popularity Contest? which deals
with the situation international book bloggers face (ARCs, book signings, etc.)
Kat from The Aussie Zombie reacted to it today and wrote a
post dealing with this topic too.
I am an international book blogger (well, mostly books) and
I totally agree with both of them. It is definitely harder for international
book bloggers to receive ARCs (as physical books but sometimes as e-copies too)
and most book signings and book conferences are held in the US. So check
out their posts if you want to know more about it.
All around the blogging sphere summer reading lists appear
because finally summer is just around the corner. Do you have a summer reading
list? I have one in my mind already and will hopefully find some time to post
it here soon.
And last but not least: Don’t forget to enter my giveaway. You
can win a signed copy of Monica McInerney’s fabulous novel “Those Faraday Girls”
in either English or German.
My exam is
on Monday afternoon and afterwards I will meet friends to celebrate a bit. Hopefully
I will be back on Tuesday with a wonderful TTT.
